Conor Kelly and Johnny McKeown are the only 18s I know.. both are very good players.

McIlmurray, McBurney, Sloan, Joyce, Rosborough, Millar and McIlroy are good players that I know of at 19s level. Both Sloan and Joyce are exiles. Joyce is the younger brother of Conor Joyce. McBurney won clubs player of the year last year.

Poor from the 20s so far.. Lions share of possession and territory, done little with it, set piece creaking, huge error count and SOH radar off! 3-0 at HT surely can only get better??

And to add insult to injury not a fecking bar open in the place..

Yes Dow has looked really promising, some great carries. I don't think the backs are too far from clicking, the centres have both hit nice lines on occasion, and Stockdale looks sharp too, it's just been the final pass..

Yes and that's about it. I'm not about to make final decisions on anybody I. 50 ir 80 minutes but O'Hagan I'd playing like a Feckin donkey in all aspects and the main reason for the scoreline, missed 4 I think and had a simple pass to put a try on yhe corner and fluffed it.

Furthermore FFS Kofi uou lured me here with the promise of an open bar. :banghead:

O'Hagan's kick offs/drop outs were good and also his kicking from hand but goal kick radar was off. Yeah he fluffed that one stonewall try. I thought he improved in second half and his distribution was quite good. Put centres in well couple of times.

Dow MOTM.

Thought young McCall was as good as anybody, some great defending. Dow was interesting, a few good carries, control the ball well for the pushover but I thought the best player on the night was Conor McKee.

The three tries from the backs were excellent examples of what a bit of pace can do. Conor Young broke very well from 22 out, shaped to pass then decided to skin the full back. Possibly the best individual skill of the night.

Then young Binman Adam Liddell saw a gap and blasted through it, excellent pace & eye for the gap however he was lucky to get the chance as Connacht should have had a penalty at the scrum it came from as Ulster's TH went down on his knees for a wee pray.

Another show & use of pace took Jack Owens impressively through for his try.

As for young O'Hagan, happily he was not as shocking in the second half, half decent. I disagree entirely on his kicking from hand, I wondered was the pressure wrong in the balls, all kickers seemed to be kicking it as if if was a fifty year old saoking wet caser and they were catching it on the laces. Barely an acceptable kick all night.

What I'd like to know is who kicked O'Hagan in the balls at half time & told him to fecking shape up. Better but far fro impressive. Then again, two things, 1) he's young 2) what the feck would I know?

The final try the pushover came as a surprise for Ulster hadn't excelled there all night indeed the skipper was penalised a few times, the URSC's beneficiary of last season struggled so I suppose it was perhaps down tour sub props being better than theirs. Beautifully control by Dow at the back.
