The 'mod' on this thread seems to automatically alter the time zone. Not sure if it works on the version of phpBB this forum uses though
The forum is always CET - it's up to you if you like to adjust it to your local time.
Correct BR, it's ok changing for here but quite a few are on strange timezones and it only complicates it more for them
When I log out or use a vpn it's on UTC [DLT].
Sure, I can log on and set 'my setting' to UTC but it makes no sense having a board set by default to UTC [DLT] when it's not summer time in Britain
Why on earth would it be on CET?

There is no such thing as UTC [DST]

Do you know where the UAFC servers reside?

So why is it displayed at the bottom right of this page :
• All times are UTC [DST]
Hover over [DST] and you get the tooltip 'Daylight Saving Time'

Mine just says "All times are UTC" :stir:

It's actually very simple. The forum doesn't know where you are located in the world and therefore can't automatically set the time zone for you or decide whether DST is in operation or not.

So If you care about having the time stamp correct you should go into the user control panel and set your time zone. Then twice a year you can select or deselect the daylight saving time radio button. If it's too much bother for you don't do it but there is no point in complaining about it.

OK - I've been following this thread religiously since 2007.

Unfortunately it cannot really be relied upon.

I am, apparently, currently operating from South Georgia

Will we change back to a UK specific sequence after 2019?
