Glens 3 Cliftonville 0 - a useful win last night albeit against Cliftonville 2nds.
2 goals by Waterworth, and one by McComb.
Roll on the Cup Final ( Glens v Cliftonville) on sat 4th may @ Windsor Pk. Anyone else here going?
Fancy pre match drinking in Wetherspoons and then a wee stagger up the Lisburn Rd?
Would make a nice wee follow on day on the pi$h after Ulster hopefully beating Cardiff @ Ravenhill the night before.

Well what a weekend...Fri night watch Ulster become Rabo champs...Sat in Belfast for the May Day rally...back home to learn that Leeds had beaten Watford then settle down to watch the wee Glens chin the Reds 3-1 in the Irish cup final...and to cap it off someone stuck a Glens fleg in the centre spot at Windsor just to please those blue dogs...if only it could be like this all the time.

I notice your location is Vienna ,were you there when the Glens won the European Cup? Yes a wonderful sporting weekend Ulster and a vocally frustrating afternoon sitting among the Red fans, watching the wise men from the East regain their rightful trophy.
Now to see off another bunch of Reds next Friday and then destroy the Blues again! :thumleft:

Never thought I'd be cheering on Leeds United.

Must be a bit galling that the win sent Hull up though, right?

Fully deserved win for the glens. The reds were very disappointing, on that performance it's difficult to understand how they've achieved so much this season

Not at all galling...we don't see Hull as rivals... We have bigger fish to fry.
Anyway... They got promoted on their own steam and with help from their parachute payments and their Cairo gang.

As for cheering for Leeds...the temptation will never leave you Neil.:-)

Well the countdown is on for the game @ the Oval on Bonfire Night v KR Reykjavik - not sure what time it's at - I've seen 6pm and 7.30pm mentioned - will confirm when I get me ticket. In the meantime congratulations to the Blue stars last night on their 2-0 away win in the Faroes v IF Fuglafjordur and good luck to Cliftonville v Celtic on 17th July - kick off 7.45pm and it's live on BBC (NI).

Well after a well deserved 0-0 away draw last night it's all to play for next week @ the Oval - 11th July 2013. Looks like 7.30pm kick-off but I don't have my ticket yet. Anyone else here thinking of going?
Will probably be a few of us in the Park Avenue @ Strandtown for a couple of pints both before and after the game - and here's hoping my bicycle doesn't end up on a bonfire as I wind my way slowly back to Holywood watching the plumes of smoke rise majestically over Belfast.

Tomorrow it's pay at gate, £10 adult, £7 concession and a mere £1 for kiddies with an adult. Not clear if concession folk can bring a kid in for £1 or not. Unfortunately its seats only so sitting in the sun on the grassy knoll with one's hamper is not permitted. Bring sunglasses anyway as most of the old main stand will have the setting sun blazing in.

ps and good luck to the Blue stars tonight.

Just over 7.5 hours to go and the tension is rising in East Belfast and the western fringes of Holywood.
Anyone else here going to the game tonight?
