Didn't see the earlier game but I'm glad Italy are gone. They are a miserably poor team.

Fair play to Japan. The played some good football and scored some lovely goals. Danes average at best.

Only 1 group left to be decided and if Spain beat Chile then it will be Spain and Switzerland going through at Chile's expense. If Chile could manage to get a draw or better Spain would be out. That would be a bigger shock than USA topping their group. I expect Spain to win though.

I don't think we'd have a German commentator going as crazy as that Norwegian one from all those years ago though. :D

Its a tough call
England or Germany........
Come on Germany :D :D :D

Did give this considerable thought myself, but two World Wars and one World Cup, towels on sunbeds before dawn, bombing our chippie, Nena's hairy armpits and shooting blind Donald Pleasance as he stumbled towards them is just too much for me, i'm afraid.....it's with a heavy heart that i say - Come on England!

See some England fans are making a real effort for Sunday's big game, this one even going for a complete makeover, before and after.............

can someone please tell me do Liverpool shirts have a zip up the back or how did she squeeze her perfectly formed shape into that?

Don't suppose its really a fat lad carrying 2 bags of spuds home up his shirt?

Before you insult somebody you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you insult them you'll be a mile away and have their shoes!

Feck sake gents, that is scary stuff.

Anyway Uruguay are through to the 1/4 finals after beating Republic of Korea 2-1 with Suarez scoring a cracker of a second goal good enough to deserve the win in any game. Uruguay look pretty decent when they bother their árses to play and they won't be easy to beat.

Ghana through to 1/4 final after beating USA. The Americans had more than enough chances to win in the second half but couldn't quite manage it and Ghana took it in extra time.

Either Uruguay or Ghana will be in the semi final. Great to see there will be at least one non-traditional super power in there.
