Re: Olympic Torch Protests
probably in the village of Cizhong - well it's where the French folk ended up producing wine in Tibet.
I'll bet not many people knew that until they read it here.

Re: Olympic Torch Protests
Today the Torch is in Yichang on the Yangtze and there r loadsa great pictures of the area out there including the Three
Gorges dam which does make the Silent Valley Resevoir look a bit mickey mouse.
try http://www.discoveryyangtze.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and for the Three Gorges dam try http://www.ctgpc.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; --- reckon there was a bit of protesting about it by the locals but we just never heard much about it.

Re: Where roughly is the Olympic Torch now mate?

What about thon Lobsang Rampa then? The brother used to read his books. Turned out he was a fake lama. A lot of guff about cities frozen into Tibetan glaciers and stuff. Any idea where he is these days (roughly)?
