This is actual lives ruined by corruption in the CPS.
Of course - I was answering a particular point Baggy made.

Lives have always been ruined by various elements within the British legal and law enforcement agencies. What's so special this time?

You've made sweeping generalisations. Someone in a recent trial was called a victim when it was clear to everybody she was not a victim

Don't be a dick russ. That is quite obviously not what Shan is referring to. A man of your claimed intellect and education shouldn't have much trouble understanding that.

When the rape is an allegation the person should be defined as claimant - if the allegation is up held — then as a victim of rape .

Both the claimant and defendant can be victims of the legal system

In the Jackson - Olding affair both might be considered victims of the system .

The claimant due to the number of hours in the stand — and the defendants due to the fact the case should never have gone to court —

The testimony of the witness alone ensured it would never have been upheld .

The claimants versions of events were never plausible making it obvious to any unprejudiced listener that the allegation was false . Despite the fact that the councils for the defendants treated her like a delicate flower and never tried to establish and have her admit why she was crying in the taxi .

Nor did they ever ask her why she failed to tell Rory Harrison what had happened was non consensual in the taxi but 7 -8 hours later after she had made the claims to her friends .

The episode with Rory Best was sufficient to ensure any guilty verdict ( if any moron thought that was possible ) would have had assured successful appeal — due to interference with witnesses - All current members of the Ulster or Ireland squads were told not to testify and new character witnesses had to be allowed by the Court - the case could very easily have been thrown out of court at that time for a total miscarriage of justice .

Did the PSNI ever get reprimanded for calling the young lady complainant a victim?

Spot on Paul. I don't think Russ is capable of understanding the concept of replying to a particular post.

I never knew he claimed any intellect. If it is real he manages to hide it very well. :D
