And today, joining the underground .....

Post by BaggyTrousers »

Farewell Cyrille Regis, you'll not know this but I played a round of golf in a charity event with your cousin John the sprinter many years ago. Boys oh but you had some power in yer boots and had too much class for the racists. Respect.

A sad day for those of us infatuated by Dolores O'Riordan for many years, my son met her at a gig in Belfast during his teens, said she was lovely, no airs and graces. Sadly she will no longer linger.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Big Cyrille, a class act on and off the pitch.

Had tickets to see Belly and the Cranberries in the 90s but couldn't go cos I broke my leg playing footy a few days before.

I finally got to see them at an Irish music festival in London many years later. The weather was awful and I was having a really miserable time for various reasons.

As soon as Linger started, the sun came out for the only time that day.

Not nearly as famous as the others mentioned but a sad one all the same.

Simon Priestley from here, Campbell College old boy, died playing rugby over in England.

I'd say there are a few on here may have schooled with him.

A right shock to hear about Dolores O'Riordan. Jaysus I remember one of their first public appearances here in Limerick. She was only a few years older than me. Terrible stuff.

A new member today, the first man to break 4 minutes for the mile, Sir Roger Bannister. What cunnilingus to me ......... dearie me, what kind of lingers with me is the sheer delight of all his competitors that he had finally done it, even some considered more likely to be the first to break the 4-minute mark. More innocent times I suppose.

It was Michael bloody Parkinsons disease wot done him in. Farewell Sir Rodge. :thumleft:

A couple of days back, Trevor Bayliss discovered that the afterlife, just like his radios is nothing more than a wind-up.

Loved the way Doddie married his partner if 40 years just before he died so that he could get one over on the (inheritance) tax man.
