Ah poor ould Liam Og, a champion piper. Saw them a few times. Could never warm to Andy Irvine for some reason..................then again he wasn't too charmed by me, fair enough.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

RIP Ray Wilkins.
A fine player and, by all accounts, a decent bloke.

FFS! that is a shocker. Did for darts what Alec did for snooker.

The only darts player in my childhood who everyone round the kitchen table could identify though - possibly the games first superstar.

That was when darts ruled the world. Bristow v Wilson was the stuff of legend even though, like most, I was always rooting for Jockie.ColinM wrote:Lost his livelihood for writing stupid stuff on twitter. Always liked the two lads, Butch & Eric. Lots of people dying these days that have never died before.

I see Barbara Bush has popped her clogs, one of only two weemin ever to be First Lady & then POTUS's Ma. Though I have never been greatly fond of Republicans, other than during the Spanish Civil War, I think by and large Babs was a decent ould sort, she certainly was not one for the kind of division the current POTUS relishes.
May Babs & her bush rest easy.

I was watching Bridget and Eamon there and the Gerry Adams character explained his position re the RA: You see, It's like Big Tom and the Mainliners. Big Tom was with the Mainliners BUT he was never actually in the Mainliners
