Dunno about that. I reckon I spend way too much in cafes and restaurants. At the end of the day it's just dinner. The price of wine or a bottle of beer in this country is what really irks me though.
I was out in The Lantern recently, great 10oz Sirlion for £20. Outstanding food.
Even better it's bring your own! No corkage fee from......... memory
Food came on a plate and no sign of a mini deep fat fryer basket for the chips either!
Highly recommend if you're eating in and around the town centre.

Chinese...... Mandarin City at the Hack
Indian....... Indian Ocean Holywood ( Old Bokara site) Van eats there
Steak ..... Porterhouse Lisburn Road ( Hadskis is overrated and over priced)
Pub Grub.... The all new Northern Whig.... greatly transformed.
Pizza...... Little Wing at the Hack.
But my cooking beats them all.

Am interested to see what the Northern Whig is now like.
Only managed one drink there previously - it was awful but I think the other half had fond memories of it from her days at Queen's.

I knew some fecker was going to say that.
I believe the Chinese are comfortably on top of the list for dog meat consumption, so that criteria probably rules out a few hundred other local establishments. Some Mexicans also aren't averse.
Nobody tried it then? - the restaurant not the doggy. I might be going there later in the week.

Very nice but a burger on way home might be necessary.
