Re: Eurometer
Unsurprisingly, I'm a Europhile alongside 9% of the UK populace.
That is consistent with my intended departure from this horrible wee shitehole/statelet and also happily very low connection with much of UK/little englander.
My son is in favour of BRexit, given he is going to live in Spain he wants rid of the UK

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

95% of cosmopolitans are Remainers. Happily I'm most unlike Nationalists.
Had a conversation with a Swede last night.
He informed me that they were playing Ireland in the Eurowendy thing next week.
Which Ireland is that then? says I. He didn't even realise there were two. Had to explain there was a British Ireland and an Irish Ireland but that I didn't give a rats ar&e about either. I don't think he is any the wiser

Cosmopolitan Guardian reader - it was only about 54 weeks out on my age too.
The Daily Mail has a lot to answer for.

We Europhiles are 99% "remainers", also least likely to be nationalists - nationalism, like patriotism, is the last refuge of the scoundrel (copyright Sam'l Johnson) - it's about acceptable in sport but nothing else. We are unsurprisingly Guardian readers.big mervyn wrote:95% of cosmopolitans are Remainers. Happily I'm most unlike Nationalists.

Incidentally, I would have no idea which "Ireland" the Swedes are playing, clearly being a Europhile does not extend to having a feck to give about wendyball eurowhatstheirbake.
Mind you my pal Al who is just back from my bijou hovel in Spain is heading off with 7 mates as they do every two years, to Spain to take in the first weeks footie when there are loads of matches ............and get hammered.

Me too darling.
Has me 17 years younger than I am and reading the Guardian. Which reminds me, I browsed a free Daily Mail in a cafe this morning. What an absolute load of tripe. Almost put me off my tea and rocky road.

I thought it was all British. Pretty sure Rum confirmed that some time ago......
