Ok Trump is a ridiculous fascist but more than half a million Brits have signed a petition to ban him from UK entry and I find that bizarre. Let him in an ridicule the fool, ask him to provide evidence that the Met Peelers and dunging their breeks.

Baggy, you usually talk a lot of sense but I fear you're wrong about Trump - sensible people aren't the target of Trump's nonsense. He appeals to the same idiots that send their bank account details to Nigerian princes. With all due respect to them, the people who support the likes of Trump are not the sort to do a volte-face in the presence of contradictory evidence. Platforming Trump allows him to spread this gibberish to more poor susceptible idiots; and like a Daily Mail exposé, it is the headline that will stick with those liable to support him, not the apology that follows few days later... Keep him to feck out!

Hmmm. I agree to a large extent but would white folk in the UK who display racist tendencies or at least the capacity for racism really even reply to Nigerian folk in a relatively civil manner? :D

There may well be something in that Neil, however I come from a position of disliking censorship. Far better to expose a ballix to the vast majority than to try to stem his appeal to assholes by the remarkably ineffective means of keeping him physically out of the country, he will pervade the airwaves whether from his home base or in the UK/Europe.

Censoring him will not break his ability to communicate with assholes, and their views as you say are entrenched, assholes will remain assholes in either circumstance.

Far preferable that someone of wit & integrity debunks his ramblings in my opinion. I believe that barring him from entry would have no real effect.

Banning Trump would be rediculious. He doesn't need to be in the UK to appeal to Willie Frazer, UK racists and assorted other mad ejits who shout at the television. Banning him would only play into his agenda.

There are 400,000 corbynistas in the uk and they turn up at every rally and sign every change.org petition

Maybe if we scrapped their benefits they would find a more productive use of their time

Paul Merton said it perfectly last night when asked about Fury

"Why do we continue to talk about this on air"

Stop discussing trump, fury and the failed uk socialist movement and we can all live our lives happily
