I seem to recall that the crisp manufacturers employed some elderly members of the travelling community wh were supposedly able to verify the authenticity of the flavourBR wrote:I seem to remember hedgehog coated in mud and baked in the fire as being a delicacy somewhere.Rooster wrote:Does anyone actually know what roast hedgehog tastes like?BR wrote:87/88 ish . A bit of a mid-way house between guinea pig and water vole with maybe a hint of dormouse.Rooster wrote:Does anyone actually know what roast hedgehog tastes like?

I've actually eaten guinea pig. There was so little meat on it I couldn't really say what it tasted of...

They've had the Ulster Fry ones out a few times now. I wonder are they the same?

Had to take a curry chip back to John Dorys the other night because they had put salt'n'vinegar on it. The curry sauce is dosed with salt to start with and vinegar is just wrong.BR wrote:I definitely think they should retain the Curry Chip flavour.BR wrote:Anybody tried these yet?

I like S&V on my curry chips. The vinegar adds a bite to the sweetness of the 'curry'.big mervyn wrote:Had to take a curry chip back to John Dorys the other night because they had put salt'n'vinegar on it. Shirley it's beside the Lisburn Road - If it was on the road, the cars wouldn't be able to drive along it.BR wrote:Yes, it's definitely on the Lisburn Road.justinr73 wrote:Can anyone vouch for Cafe Fish on Lisburn Road?

The cars can't drive along it. They have to drive on the road. It's not like Burger King at Ballyskeagh nor McDonald's at Sprucefield.Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Shirley it's beside the Lisburn Road - If it was on the road, the cars wouldn't be able to drive along it.BR wrote:Yes, it's definitely on the Lisburn Road.justinr73 wrote:Can anyone vouch for Cafe Fish on Lisburn Road?

I need a Chicken Maryland! The sort you used to get on a high tea menu in an old style hotel. Where would I get that? I'm thinking a golf club or somewhere may still do the real mccoy!
