Not that I am saying everyone should not be held responsible for contributing to a both society and economy. Quite the opposite in fact unlike most politicians and many folk in a degree of comfort. Still the moronic wing of the middle classes like their heroes and vote for those who call out their "enemies".
It's actually pensions

Just making a point. Wasn't claiming accuracy on exact costs to the exchequer.

A bit of both Shan, he seems the perfect poster boy for the right wing, many of whom you will find here in various forms. Those who would say, yes great idea, sterilize those who "do not contribute to society" but who would never dream that that category would include many for whom it's not a choice and those whose actions mean they cheat society whilst probably look like upright citizens to the gormless.

Taking the quoted example:

“There are hundreds of families in the UK who earn over £60,000 in benefits without lifting a finger because they have so many kids (and for the rest of us that’s a wage of over £90,000 before tax!).

'It's not long before we're drowning in a vast sea of unemployed wasters that we pay to keep!'"

As Rooster has said many will consider his only fault speaking those words publicly, but you do not have to be a genius to understand that you require a huge number of progeny and most, parents & or children, will have to have serious health issues to receive benefits on the scale he mentions.

A large number of imbeciles may think, wow, £60 grand to sit at home looking after a dozen able-bodied and ill children. It almost never seems to occur that whilst £60k might be a decent salary to a couple with 2 or 3 kids that if you throw in an extra 8,10,12 kids it doesn't sound like a huge amount.

Britain is a vile country, in recent years we've had the unsightly advent of poverty porn tv which has copperfastened those on benefits as hate figures "for all right-thinking people". What they never made clear was when they said right-thinking, they meant fu@king closet nazis rather than "correct".

This little tory wasp is the exact sort who will appeal to the type who would bring back the workhouse or the eugenics fans who would wish to breed and more importantly sterilise "wasters" out of society.

In other news, though only elected last year, the little sh1t belongs to a party who have frozen public sector wages for the entire term of their recent governments making nurses and many others we rely on incrementally poorer over the last 10 years.

His interesting contribution? " “If you think your job or your pay isn’t good enough for you, quit! There are millions and millions of other people who will quite happily take your burden off your hands! If you think you deserve better pay, then get a job with better pay. If you don’t feel capable of getting a job with better pay then be grateful for the one you’ve got!"

A great sentiment at a time when the NHS is losing nurses faster than they can recruit them.

If others admire this @unt's homespun wisdom, feck all I can do about that but I'd love him to die soon.

Thanks for asking. >EW

Some shower of f-cking apes. One FF hereditary TD, son of a guy who bugged his colleagues while a Minster, and two FF Lite brothers, though technically independent, hereditary TD's from the bog in Kerry whose Da was as cute a hoor as one could find in that county of hoors.

Many people are dumb. Politicians love that dumbos have the vote and exercise same. Representative democracy was created for that purpose.

So then the ladies have taken over SF officially. Mary Lou and Michelle will take on the task of both developing SF's vote while also trying to keep the party united across the island. You just kind of know there are some auld lads in NI not happy about a 'stater from south Dublin taking over their party.

Anyway in her speech at the RDS she managed to get in the words "Up the rebels" and "tiocfaidh ár lá" :D

Mary Lou was on the Late Late show the other night. Apparently Tiocfaidh ár lá is all about embracing the future and leaving the past behind.

Apart from that she was impressive enough as a speaker. I suspect she may manage to make SF a more attractive voting proposition for some who would not have considered it under the leadership of Belfast's finest.

If you are looking for an impressive speaker, try young this young lady who saw friends shot by a madbastard in her school the other day. This was one of more than 200 multiple killings in American schools in the last 5 years, meanwhile the NRA's "friend in the White House" as he called himself took 30 million dollars in campaign funding from them so that they would be free to arm halfwits to the teeth.

You can buy a serious automatic weapon at 18 with barely a form to fill in, you need to be 21 to drink a beer. Madbastards, what a seriously fuc'ked up country. Furthermore one of Trumps first acts was to rescind the background checks that Obama had introduced for people with current & previous mental health issues, leaving over 70000 registered fu'ckwits free to arm themselves to fight their demons, kill ordinary people. (yes I know having a mental health issue doesn't make you a fuc'ktard, I'm living proof)

Very impressive speech, 11 minutes plus but worth taking that time. As a sad old ballix, she brought tears to my eyes.

A very impressive and passionate speech. Hearing one of the teachers in another interview I was shocked to hear that schools in the good ole US of A have drills for gun attacks the way we would have fire drills. That is one shithole of a country if is the norm.
