Bad as Farage is he'd have to get a long ladder to get down to DUP levels.
It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways.

So Baggy, you're in Spain a month and this happens: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-44327573 . Can't possibly be a coincidence. We need an explanation.

Jeepers, sure he was here for years and couldn't get rid of Logan.

I have high hopes for this new NIQ enforcer Pantalones Holgados that we got on the exchange programme. He could make a better fist of it.

Mi copa está rebosando, mis sueños se estén cumpliendo. Estoy siempre he querido vivir en una república socialista.

LOOK................... the socialists may only have 24% of the seats but everyone is delighted to see the back of Mariano Rajoy and his party of right-wing crooks.

Given it took the socialists, Podemos and a collection of Catalans & Basques to bring Rajoy down, we will almost certainly have yet another election. I may well be on the Padron my the time the election is called and I can cast a vote for a proper socialist party, safe in the knowledge that there are no fu'cking DUPers or Shinners to fu'ck things up with the closest thing to a socialist party being the Shinners. :duh: :duh: :duh:

Anyway, good to see 20000 of my fellow fruits turning up to call for their rights in Belfast.

Hasta luego.

I don't normally get involved in or follow politics but this boils my pish. Is she the dumbest feck head in history or am I missing the point?

Is the proposal not a cake and eat it scenario for ourselves?

No, she's doing exactly what her support base want her to do. That is, avoid any possible hint of daylight between the status of Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. Maintenance of the sanctity of the union overrides any, potentially massive, economic benefits that could accrue from a special NI deal.
Like Americans who support Trump, they don't think about or can't understand the pragmatic choices or opportunities. Average voters aren't logical, they are tribal ideologues and vote with their gut, not their heads.

Knowing the border better than any of the politicians involved the only viable solution that will work is NI remains in all but name in EU and the tariff and immigration controls moved to ports and airports.

Knowing nothing about international trade or politics... surely NI as a special 'free trade'( or something like that) zone could make us a fortune. I believe you're right, Snipe, too many vote with their bigoted and fear-riddled or hope-deluded gut. The Duppers fear that it's a step towards a united Ireland and the Shinners think it's not enough to be worthwhile.. It's an opportunity of a lifetime, or am I missing something very obvious?
