completely addictive. Just about to start season 3 after the weekend, along with Mad Men and sports highlights it's about the only thing I can be doing with on the telly at the moment.damianmcr wrote:I enjoy

My afternoon guilty viewing pleasure is Come Dine With Me.
There was a good RWC one a while back with Kyran Bracken, Martin Offiah, Victor Ubogu and Gareth Chilcott. Chilcott just about stopped short of aftershave chasers - the other 3 wusses couldn't hack it.

Big Mervyn I too find myself watching Come Dine With Me the odd time. Really stupid idea of a TV programme but the people in it make up for it!
I like Outnumbered too, with Hugh Dennis, its fairly funny, making my way through season 2 so far.
Also watch Mock the Week when I can or havent already seen the episode of it (hard to find new ones on considering its on every 15 minutes on Dave)

Re: What are you watching?
It's bleak, almost nihilistic. Rick & party are not heroic, they're not even necessarily "good" or "moral" they will do whatever has to be done to survive, they are the Walking Dead.darkside lightside wrote: interesting, I too liked season 1, kind of lost interest in season 2 - so what is Walking Dead (the vision in the books I mean)?
The easiest comparison I can think of so far is the point at which Hershel, the farm owner confronts Rick about the fact that he doesn't want the group to carry firearms on his property.
On TV - Rick says " Yessuh, it's your home, we are your guests and we sure do appreciate your hospitality. I'll police up all the weapons directly and put them under lock and key"
In the comics - Rick beats Herschel almost to death, puts a gun to his head and tells him that while the group are thankful for his help, if he does anything to interfere with how they see fit to survive, he and his family will go for their tea.
That's a bit simplistic and paints too dark a picture without context but you get the gist.

What about the Inbetweeners?
Wrong on so many levels but it is generally hilarious.

Top drawer. Every episode has at least one laugh out loud moment. Haven't seen the fillum but thought both series 1 and 2 were brilliant.breakdown wrote:What about the Inbetweeners?

Diners, Drive ins and dives on food network! Not going out is hilarious! Likewise with Russell Howard's Good News

Anyone watching Homeland? Really good follow up to the first series.
Also just curious, surely I cant be the only one who records all the episodes in a series and watches them back to back to avoid waiting a week for the next episode?
