I’ve backed Alex Noren, 28/1 with Sky bet.

Greens might be at a pace and angle he can handle

The only thing remotely in Rory's favour is that Carnoustie above most major venues has always rewarded good ball strikers and is not really a forgiving course. If his putting is ok he could have a decent week but I'll be surprised if any Nordie or Paddybastard comes close.

Over the hedge, as I look at La Torre, I see a lady off 26 has won her second consecutive competition (it's mixed here) and has been slashed to 23.3. I've played once in 5 years and I'd expect to beat her with an orange and a hockey stick. Some clown who she beat on the count back on 44 points off 9 :mexican: was gutted to have his best-ever round of one over gross and his Mexicaness was just not good enough to beat the lady. Well fu'ck Sadie I roared. I couldn't score 44 in my dreams had 42 once playing off 1 but sure it was only Dungannon, 41 gross points is about right for it.

Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Depends on the bookmaker. The bookies I placed my bet with pays down to 10th place at a fifth of the odds.

In the event a clatter of players are tied tenth they still pay a fifth.

Other bookmakers may only pay down as far as 6th or 8th place but then they would tend to offer longer odds. Or they may pay out a quarter on an each way to compensate.

For example if you went to a bookies that was only paying out top six they may have Southgate at 160/1....
