This is where a captain would understand that you kick to touch and keep possession rather than take a 4 point lead and give the opposition a chance.

Foley didn't know whether to stick or twist and fu'cked it up, TMO attempted to save him but couldn't quite have the brass neck to make Stockdale throw away the game.

A close but shyte game, Paddybottlers bottled but Aussie not good enough.

Great win for Ireland. Some battling performance in the second half as Oz went on all out attack.

Only beaten by Byrne IMHO. Well stocked at 10 after that.

Whoppee-do, they are still a gutless squad who sat quietly as the union sacked one of their best players without a single man putting his head or hand up. I hate the English but they wouldn't stand by, they have stood up to their union several times and won. Cowardly Irishbastards.

Who the ever started lifting players to catch at kick off

There is some excuse in a line out — it only recognises a common practice be it the lift at the waist or a hand on a shoulder which occurred at nearly every line out .

But lifting at a kick means the catcher can’t be challenged and if the lifter is in front he blocks the tackle .
