Half expected Gladstone to be there.

Gives us a chance to have a look at young McBurney.

Hope Fiji win 97-0.

Feck Nuciwankhead, Feck Joe and Feck all the FIRFU.

I see Chris Farrell is in the squad. Should we have let him go, discuss...

Also anthems? Discuss...

Chris Farrell would have found breaking into the Ulster mid field difficult

When he left there was Cave, Marshall Payne , McCloskey , and Olding trying to play in the centre .

Going to France was his best option to get regular game time and experience .

His inclusion in the squad does not guarantee a cap but does allow Joe to assess if he fits and wether he provides adequate cover should injuries strike .

Absent are four centre options Payne ,Ringrose ,Marshall, and Olding -two being injured ,and Marshall is to injury prone and Olding on the naughty step and like Marshall an injury waiting to happen and whose international future would be better if he played full back .

Given Payne’s injury concerns he might never play another game for Ireland .

It's good to see Zebo being omitted from the squad.
It's a clear signal that you have to commit to playing in Ireland to come into Joe's plans.

I but D'Loop is "Special". I especially hate his whining guts........though in fairness to his gurning face, not quite as much as I loathe Visa Novisa, he is the ultimate bas'tard.

No need to be punitive for the sake of it. Zebo is still playing in Ireland and as such should be as eligible as the next man. The only thing to take into account is future lack of availability reducing the point of developing him. But it's Zebo.
