Brilliant stuff my hoop. God that was dire.
Massive pressure game. Calling it dire is tantamount to calumny. It was a physical battle.

Any word from Paris? Is Barnes still looking at stuff?
The physicality was up there. However, it was all 1-out plodding. No subtlety or inventiveness from either side. At this level, even with the weather, you'd expect to see some level of skill - even the odd off-load. High balls were average from both sides and both sides were average collecting them. Couple of rolling mauls to write home about if that turns you on.

Fair play to Joe, he knows how to win these kind of games. The Irish defense was very good and strangled England. However, England didn't even look to have an answer to it which is disappointing for a side that has won a stack of games on the bounce. For the 'best' two sides in the 6N it was all a bit turgid for me. Anyway, it's the usual story - Ireland lose away one week and Joe should be sacked, they sneak a home win the next and Ireland are the greatest since sliced bread.

You really are a simplistic buffoon. :duh: :duh: :duh:
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Well I hope so but Farrell is well able for a physical battle. Top class player, probably the best player in Europe.
Well thank Gawd we were able to put the shackles on Europe's best player >EW

Staggering to think he wouldn't have played only for an injury to Jamie. I hear he got injured in the warm up, did Heaslip?
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Ha. Yes we locked him down as we needed to do. Also locked down their pack......mostly because of one pre-match "injury" and one decent selection decision regarding Toner.

Must say I didn't expect that win .

the conditions suited the defence and back row and I never rated the English back row as a unit

PoM getting the call up changed the line out calls and had England guessing and there may have something in with Toner playing the Irish line out was predictable .

luckily the Weather denied England the opportunity to attack wide with the ball in hand .

Dylan just lost the Captaincy of the lions and a few who thought they were on the plane could be watching at home .

POM was immense. If he isn't picked for the Lions it'll be a travesty and Schmidt will be to blame.

"I have a responsibility for my players".

Some argue Rory isn't a good captain; i respectfully disagree.

Was Heaslip asked to step away and he asked for the Kearney injured not dropped line of SA 2016?

Shamalicious, two posts I agree with wholeheartedly.POM is ano brainer

Now who do you pick forLions Captain-

a) A player who was understudy to a captain who got destroyed on a NZ tour
b) A player who just got schooled, has a habit of getting sent off and banned, and just got schooled
c) a player who just got stripped of his national captaincy
d)......Rory
