I have to say, I'd have taken the 3 and drawn with the boks at a world cup, thereby recording the greatest result in Japanese rugby history.
Not many

They believed in themselves and were rewarded!

I think that was one of the most exciting games of rugby I have ever watched - still have a smile on my face - great advert for the game.

Congrats to Japan :salut:

Indeed. A great win for them.

I'd still expect the Scots to beat them handily enough as the Japanese will be shattered (physically and emotionally even if they have some guys to bring in), there will be no complacency from the Scots now and maybe even a bit more pressure on the Japanese now with greater expectation and thirdly, that was the game of Japan's lives, when they were also the surprise team.

Maybe close for 50-60 mins, but i think the Scots will win comfortably in the end.

With SA picking up 2 points, I'd still have them as slight favourites to win the group.

You may be right Bart but I'd fecking love to see Japan beat Scotland and go on and grab a 1/4 final place. Huge ask but one can dream for now.

South Africa will indeed win the group, after all rance lost two group matches last time and were still robbed finalists thanks to Joubert.

I'm looking forward to seeing Scotland, I never like seeing them crap as they have been for a good decade now.

Oi Shan, yer a bit picky about which part of Betty's kingdom you support, love the one everyone else detests, hate the Welsh & want to see the poor Sweaties humiliated by the ballixs who tortured and starved Betty's family's army in a recent conflict.

Hopefully a chara. They are a breath of fresh air. Scotland absolutely are not.

Jones was very unlucky in his time as Australia coach. Their great team had aged / broken up but they still pushed an incredibly strong England team all the way in 2003. Injuries and a lack of tight forwards did for him in the end I think. He won the Super 12 with the Brumbies and what a fecking team they were at the time. He is no fool for sure.

Well I don't hate anybody. I mean I don't hate an entire nation of people or the sports team representing them. I'd find such an idea to be rather a rotten thing.

However I usually find myself supporting a team when I choose to watch a match just to create some type of emotional investment for myself. In the case of England v Wales and England v Scotland I've always favoured England. That goes back a long time to my childhood and old habits are hard to break.....and even harder when one has no desire so to do.

If I was to base my "support" on historical and / or political matters I wouldn't be able to support any of Betty's Kingdom's teams. That would include my own such as it represents one part of the UK. I separate sport and state in the same way I wish everybody could separate church and state.

Aye heard they rested a few lol. That set move for the try with the inside ball was sublime. And to take a scrum at the end from the pen.... Lol. Amazing

Really brave call at the end.

They could have had a penalty try for the driving maul just before it too. If that wasn't brought down by the boks then I'm the Pope.

Also for the lineout for that maul they went long in the lineout. That was also very brave, a lot of teams would have went to the front there.
