Roight...Jesus H Christ where to start. I wonder is this just to get a reaction?rumncoke wrote:Forget about differences in fitness given they are all professionals training for similar times in training camps , the difference in fitness would be minimal , except for injuries .
Eddies problem was he picked the wrong players including one who had announced his intention to retire . He also played a warm up game against a team with nothing to lose by stretching the rules and players took knocks which should have been avoided .
Eddie goofed big time in pre and also during the World Cup over playing the same XV and they became mental exhausted as much as well as carrying knocks .
Retiring players can provide experience to younger players and reliable subs but in my opinion have no place in starting XV

They're all professional so they are all equally fit? Is Mike Ross, for example, equally as fit as Heaslip because they both train together for Ireland?
Do we expect that all international teams actually do is a one paced set of laps around the pitches they train at?
Ballsocks-strength, conditioning and nutrition are all intertwined taking into account physiological make up of the players, positional requirements, etc etc to tailor specific programmes. Altitude training and other environmental aspects are other aspects worth examining as well.
Eddies green monkeys were underpowered. They took the wrong approach to S&C and were beasted physically by, in some instances, completely inferior players.
