Understood it perfectly. I said I have only met one totally objectionable English rugby supporter. I haven't met any of the totally objectionable English rugby supporters you mentioned. Although I don't have much of an issue with Mike Brown.

At the Twickenham Sarries QF I had the misfortune to be in front of a total Sarries dangler. I call him that cos he kept deliberately dangling his Sarries flag over my head and making inflammatory comments about our wee team.
After a few times counting to 10 and taking a deep breath I was complaining that a kick clearly taken outside the 22 had gone straight into touch when He goes "you haven't a facking clue mate".
He was then told where his fleg pole was about to be inserted and was well behaved thereafter. Maybe that has coloured my opinion of the Sarries fan.
I would be confident that "Twickers" on an International day would be full of these complete danglers and actually think I may end up lamping somebody. For that reason I have never pursued the purchase of England v Ireland away tickets.

I kind of hate the way we are everyone's second team and they love the the craic of the Oirish!

Saw that 6 nations memories thing on the bbc and hating the English was brought up.
Carling who I loathed at the time, recalled when an interviewer told him everyone hated the English to which he replied, 'Well I hate you' , to the utter shock of said bloke.
Couldn't help but like that.
Think his era embraced the 'no one likes us we dont care' attitude and allowed them to actually show a pride in their country which is frowned upon and usually refered to as arrogance.

Incidently there was footage of Serge Betsen doing an entire game of hits on Wilkinson that people are getting their trousers in a twist about. with Lawes.
The exception was did Wilkinson did go off.
The English lauded it as great flanker play particularly Sir Wingealot Woodward as Betson was mom and France went on to win the slam.

Hate the celtic attitude of so long as we beat the English attitude.
I find it irritating and small minded.
I would rather we beat the All Blacks by a country mile just once.
That said they are of course my least favourite of all the 6 nations sides.

Fcuk but there are some stupid Warren Gatland here. May I refer you back to the initial part of the original post where I very clearly said I hate neither England nor the English.

To distill it to its essence, I hate the "it's not fair" faction, the "they didn't try hard enough or we would have won" brigade, the "it must be the wrong format or England would be champions" tendency.

The self same people who killed the Heineken Cup, the people who twice have been expelled from the 5/6 Nations, the slimeballs who did a secret deal with BT Sport. Got it?

I like decent English rugby people as I've said at length over recent years, I stood with the rest of Lansdowne Road and applauded England for 5 minutes until my hands were sore in 1973 after our Celtic cousins had shown cowardice the previous year. I would go to Welford Road in a heartbeat for another game, superb fans.
