Irish Womens side to play in Aviva

Post by Rooster »

The Irish Rugby Football Union today confirmed the ticket prices and kick-off time for the historic Women's RBS 6 Nations match against Italy at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, March 8.
Those in possession of tickets for the Ireland v Italy men's Six Nations match on the day are invited to remain for the women's game, while tickets exclusively for the women's fixture will be available from ticketmaster.ie from Monday, January 20, for the usual price of €10 for adults and €5 for children.

The Ireland v Italy women's game is scheduled to kick off 40 minutes after the final whistle of the men's match (circa 5pm).

To promote the game the IRFU will provide 400 euro to clubs who currently field a Women's team to defray the costs of travelling for the historic match.

IRFU Commercial & Marketing Director Padraig Power said: "We are delighted to confirm details for the historic Women's RBS 6 Nations international at the Aviva Stadium.

"To ensure that all those who wish to attend the match can do so we will be encouraging ticket holders for the men's game to get behind the current Women's Six Nations champions, while also releasing tickets exclusively for the women's game for the usual price of just €10 for adults and €5 for children.

"To help women's teams get behind their representative team we have also put in place a very attractive travel offer to offset the cost of coach hire, to get to the Aviva and be part of the historic occasion, of up to €400*."
