And of course butchers hang their meat on Hooks to Tender it which could be an alternative source for the expression and meaning a person just there waiting for something to happen.
Clearly tenterhooks

There is an excuse for everything. Apparently he doesn't punctuate as he wishes to be deliberately vague.

Rum is Billy Bunter.

As for the game - Slightly weaker selection than one would like but there is more than enough in that Irish team to beat the Welsh Anything less than a home win is entirely unacceptable.

Scotland probably think they have a chance given England's below par performance against their little brother. Scotland have a poor pack though so I'd expect England to win comfortably enough.

France should win easily tonight. Italy are poor.

Munster's Chris Farrell is a high risk selection, especially when Joe could have picked Ringrose or McCloskey.
If we lose, I will blame Ulster reject Farrell for simply not being up to it.

If we win then I will praise the calculated selection risks taken, the inspirational Fergus, and the foresight of mastermind Joe.

Can't lose. In Joe we trust.

France 34-17 Italy FT, no BP for the Froggies in Marseille. Butchered multiple tries.

It's the second most misquoted phrase in Britain.

I say you fellows! The image of Rum as the Fat Owl of the Remove is most terrific btw. Yarooh!

Didn't think Shan was old enough or sufficiently culturally immersed to appreciate this stuff, but he really takes this West Brit thing to extraordinary lengths. >appl

How many times is BOD going to say the World Cup may be a year too late for Rory and he's "in the winter of his career"? That's twice I've heard him say it. You'd think he wants rid :stir:

Hes the one to talk, he retired 2 years too late. Fecker.

Munster's Chris Farrell if he plays like a drain. Ulster's Chris Farrell if he's MOTM.

Is it time to start calling out players who dont sing the anthem of ireland but do sing the unrepresentative song?

Doesnt sit right with me. Time to scrap an emblems and songs that create division
