The fact is he needs a 30
man pool for the tests because it's 3 tests in 3 weeks and four in Four if the Maori game is considered a fourth test as it normally is in quality of players .

Every pundit has looked at the schedule and gone that's " tough"

23 players can not line out for 4 games of that intensity in 4 weeks .

In a world cup you would expect to play the same side for 3 weeks in the knock outs. It can be done.
Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'

Rarely with success there are usually about 2-3 changes at least between the 1st week and 3rd and also changes on the bench .

plus the there are 4 weeks prior to the tests with 2 games a week and in the RWC in the pool stages there are usually 2 games against lesser opposition that does not exist in this tour every game will be intense .

The 1971 Lions didn't face teams as well prepared .

Sarries leinster and Munster players will more than likely miss the first game. Thats 14 players out for starters. Could see all the ulstermen in the first game after a couple of weeks rest[WINKING FACE]

Fair play to Youngs for withdrawing. Too often we hear about 'Great courage to go and play in the face of such difficulties.' He is quite right to be with his family at a terrible time like this. Well done, sir.
