Appreciate Conway was in the air, but his body language was not to charge down a kick. He turned his body to protect himself and in doing so endangered the Connacht player.
It looked deliberate to me. He had his eyes on Carty and hit him in the head with his elbow.
Any difference between it and the Piutau incident versus Connacht?
This was an elbow rather than a shoulder.

Connacht win a game they did not expect to win.

Munster were shockingly poor. Connacht are not good and we made a complete dog's dinner of it. Disappointing to put it mildly.

Conway should have got a yellow but he gave Nigel the opportunity to give him red because he did look before he elbowed him so I don't have any real complaints but the game is made an árse of by harsh reds and it will get worse.

Hear, I bet Munster are glad they brought JJ back, hands like NHL.

That is a classic example of a team losing to a team they should not lose to but did most things badly.

Sorry Shan, I think Conway had to go, it was not a deliberate elbow to the head but he jumps and hit the lad with an elbow to the head when there is no possible way he can be construed to have jumped for the ball. Correct decision. Unlucky given an absence of malice but correct.

Head injuries will ruin the game long before 'harsh' red cards.

Keatley absolutely stifles this Munster team. He is awful. Hanrahan at least tried to play rugby but looks off the pace. Worried about the form of Stander he looks underpowered compared to last season. Farrell was anonymous.

I'm not complaining about the red. I just think we are seeing harsh reds in general. Understand the safety argument and agree with it but we don't want to end up non-contact.

As for JJ, Baggy, I have long been unconvinced about him. Another one in a long line of top underage players who can't do it at senior level. He may still come good but I find it hard to believe it at this stage.

Munster would drive you to drink. Mmmmmmm drink. :D :D
