Munster 17/18

Post by Neill_M »

2 New Saffer signings for the >THUH

Chris Cloete - backrow player signed from the Kings on 3 year deal.
Gerbrandt Grobler - lock signed from R92 on 1 year deal.

Should complete their PP/NIQ signings for the season ahead - Marshall, Kleyn and Cloete - PP and Grobler and Taute - NIQ. Interesting that they have been allowed to sign 2 non Irish locks.

:duh: bar Dysel I'd take their signings over ours, they've added both strength and depth to their squad,

We've a lion and current Irish international at lock. Best 2nd row combo of all provinces. Coetzee will be like a new signing. We will destroy them.

Don't know anything about these 2 guys. If they are as good as our other Saffers we'll be happy.

The back row lad is 5 FT 9. A modern Neil Back. Munster with more Saffers than Ulster nowImage

Scores tries. Was prolific during his spell in Sri Lanka.

Grobler got banned for steroids for 2 years and became a hunter before he went to France.

Cloete is an excellent player. Any time I've seen him play, he has been the standout player on the pitch. He is nearly impossible to shift when he is over the ball. He is also a very good ball carrier, he is basically a ball of muscle. Very hard to put down because of his low centre of gravity. His height is an advantage in the way he plays.

POM, Cloete and Stander will form some backrow. I can't think of many better in Europe.

Away a that with you Ulster have the best back row in the world according to Bakebook
