If we win the league then there is a possibility that we could have 2 trips to Parma next season :D

Dragons end season on 4 wins. That's disgraceful

Hard to beat a good old dose of simplistic shyte, eh? Dragons had a tough season, rarely had their only truly class player and albeit they lost 18 games, in 10 of those they were beaten by less than 7 points, beat Leinster & damn nearly & deserved to beat Ulster at Spanners.

Look at their points difference compared to the Italians and you will see a team who competed hard week after week, got the odd digging but no, they are not a disgrace, in fact they are limited but give it all they have, they don't subside to enormous defeats.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

You could argue the same of Treviso
Munster 18 - 13 Treviso
Treviso 24 - 27 Edinburgh
Treviso 22 - 25 Ospreys
Dragons 19 - 12 Treviso
Galsgow 13 - 6 Treviso
Treviso 20 - 22 Scarlets
Zebre 28 - 25 Treviso
Treviso 13 - 16 Munster

What would 1 million euro over two season do for them.

Don't have to win the league, Zebre will be in pot 4 of the Euro draw, so we could draw them regardless - 25% chance. Munster also in Pot 4 but can't draw them.

Edinburgh playing at Myreside from January until the end of next season on a trial basis.

Round the back of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital by the look of it.

The Kilted Pig seems to be the nearest pub.

Where are they playing before January?

Still at the "library" I think, sensible move by them to try somewhere smaller - generate some atmosphere etc.

We've been lucky there in the past.

Interesting about Embra going back to Myreside. Apparently capacity will be increased to 6,000 with temporary stands.

I thought that the tight gits at the SRU begrudged paying anyone else rental money so Embra had to rattle around within Murrayfield for years.

Myreside is in quite a residential area with not a lot of pubs and places to eat but it isn't that far of a walk to Bruntsfield where there are some decent places.

You'd think they'd continue to play Glasgow at the library. We're their next biggest crowd, but they'd probably rather sell out, than move for us.

Press reports say that Edinburgh still have the option of moving bigger games to Murrayfield. The move to Myreside is being called a "trial" as well as they've only committed for a season and a half at the moment.

Top kickers in Pro12

http://www.pro12rugby.com/statzone/rhin ... jAEdcBc.97

1 Gareth Ancsombe Cardiff Blues 26 32 81.25
2 Steve Shingler Scarlets 29 37 78.38
3 Paddy Jackson Ulster Rugby 49 63 77.78
4 Jason Tovey Newport Gwent Dragons/Edinburgh Rugby 39 51 76.47
5 Craig Ronaldson Connacht Rugby 35 46 76.09

Fine margins for wee PJ. If he'd got 1 of his missed kicks, he'd be 2nd, 3 kicks and he'd be 1st.

Them first two are part-timers.

Not proven over enuff of the season ....

You could just as easily say that for kickers who took 40 or more attempts during the season (not an unreasonable discriminator, I would suggest >EW ),PJ was the top kicker.

Stats...... easi-peasi :thumleft:

Also, those stats do not specify range. Paddy has whacked over a fair number of long-range kicks this season. I don't know about the others. I remember Paterson, good Scottish FB who played for Gloucester, had tremendous kicking stats because he never attempted anything too long.
