Stringer
Peter Stringer may be in the European Champions Cup 1/4 finals. Today Bath produced an excellent performance to win with a bonus point in Toulouse. Now they just need to beat Glasgow at home next week and it should be enough to grab one of the runner up spots.
Bath played some great rugby and the try which was scored by Louw contained some fantastic play from Jonathan Joseph in the build up. He pretty much tore Toulouse apart on his own.
George Ford is an excellent 10. England will have the difficult choice of selecting Ford or Farrell.
Gwan Stringer.

Re: Stringer
Well whatever about Chairmen and that all I would prefer to see Bath doing well than some of the other teams in it. They play some good stuff and Stringer is there. If it came to a choice between seeing Stringer, Ashton or Hartley in a semi final for example I could only go with the wee man.

Re: Stringer
Should Stringer deserve an Ireland recall on the back of his form?
All that experience and control he would be a great lad to have coming on the last 10 or 20 especially in a world cup year.
Don't know if he retired or just wasn't selected though.

I'm a fan of Stringer, even if I wouldn't trust him to go to Afzal' s corner shap for a Mars bar and a bottle of Boost and bring the right change, given he is an untrustworthy teetotaller.Once a Knight wrote:Aye, not with that tosser of a chairman.Jackie Brown wrote:He has, but I can't be cheering on Bath!
G'wan the Weegies!
However Jackie is spot on, supporting Barff is not an option with that obnoxious Craig in charge. Besides I would be very happy to see Weegies get a runners up spot.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

F-ck Glasgow. Couldn't be listening to their booing the whole way through a 1/4 final. Hope Stringer buries them.

Och now don't you go getting all sentimental and glassy eyed about the wee man.
Bath, Ashton, Hartley - there's not much there to like. It's like having to pick your favourite venereal disease.
Arra I can't help it a chara. I'm deligted for him that he is still going strong. I've been critical of him when I thought it was justified but he is some fecking man to be still going in a top team at 37 years of age.
And who could argue with a wee man who could tackle a guy effectively that most guys twice his size couldn't make an impact on. A legend of Shannon RFC and like the good old crazy king, a man more sinned against than sinning......by the IRFU and others.

Twát of a commentator couldn't even acknowledge what a fantastic try saving and fecking smart tackle it was.

The wee ballix would've made a great backup to St.P this last lot of years

He can put the ball exactly where the 10 wants it 99% of the time. Even Ruan can't reach that kind of level never mind Beagle.ColinM wrote:The wee ballix would've made a great backup to St.P this last lot of years
Re: Stringer
Stringer made RoG look world class .
Only problem I had with him was he failed to vary his game and therefore the Irish back play became predictable .
But without doubt he had the best pass of any scrum half in the last 25 years or more.
