Watching rugby in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote 2016

Post by HwoodMike2umate »

Have been to Puerto del Carmen but never as far as Playa Blanca. Arrive on Thursday 4th February 2016 which gives us a day to find out if anywhere will be showing Ulster v Dragons on Friday 5th February and even longer to find out where to watch Ireland v Wales on Sunday 7th February. But if anyone here has been before and can recommend bars to watch sport, or even just bars to drink in cheaply :) , then please post here. Slainte hic burp.

Looks like it'll be the Irish Anvil bar in Playa Blanca for me on Friday nights Ulster game, and Saturday and Sunday Ireland games too. Slainte hic and burp. Trust you will all freeze to death back here in Ulster/Ireland :)
Must go and pack me suncream now.

For the record I got to the Irish Anvil bar and sat in a corner watching the game on TG4 on my own eating a lovely lasagne and chips. And the Guinness was quite good too.

And also for the record it was one of those games where you don't want to be winning at halftime. Halftime score 7-10. Final score 17-15 and up to top of the league table we soared. Oh happy days.

What does an Irish anvil look like?
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Amazon does free p&p on anvils which seems remarkably generous :thumleft:
