MoTM -- not to surprised at Cooney -- since he kicked the points -- and nobody stood out in that dire game . ( McCloskey is a maybe firstly the quick tap and then for responding to provocation with a touch of hand bags at dawn.)

But as you have pointed out his kicking wasn't his best and his passing at times was erratic at times players getting the ball at head and shoulder height on a telegraphed pass . In his defence the rucking wasn't great ( given the Cardiff approach ) and ground was soft and wet and ball was wet as well.

In the second half about the sixty minute mark , the ref blew for a knock on ( it might have been a knock back 60 -40) and McCloskey then pulled back the chasing player , the ref played it as he perceived it and as he had first blown - a knock on and scrum down . And to be fair to the ref he had blown similarly all afternoon .
