If our props can avoid being schooled, we’ve got a decent chance
I think they will scrum us off the park.
Would have fancied us if Baldy Barista had of still been around.

Weather forecast gives heavy rain. Does that help us or not?

Discuss...

So should we be expecting a lot of resets then or lineouts?

In tmers of personnel ulster have about a dozen of their 1st choice xv starting. kane is potentially the only member of the pack who might not start although more on the baiss of Moore’s form from a few seasons ago.

In the backs only Lowry would not make the 1st choice xv (we have only really seen Burns at 10 this season). Addison is not at his first choice position and you could possibly argue for Speight over Gilroy although based on season to date i reckon Gilroy may have got that nod.

That team should be good enough to beat the current Tigers team at home as the backrow in particular has 2 players who are step up on what we were able to field for virtually all of last season. The one unknown for me though is the match fitness of key players such as Jordi and Bestplus general fitness if Addison who will be a key man.

Many here undersell Gilroy, he is by a long way a shoo-in, if fit, as our squad currently exists. In time, that may change with Stockdale, Kernohan & I assume the young speed merchant from Bangor.

Gilroy has a quite exceptional and consistent strike rate, 11, 12 & 13 in the last 3 of the last 4 seasons, the exception being only 3 in 16/17 season when not in great form and a long-term injury which ran into the start of last season, 60 in 166 games is superb.

He's also developed from a guy whose defence was shocking to a pretty decent defender who can manage 15 with a decent kicking game.

I wish guys gave him a bit more credit for what he does and has done.

PS Stockdales has scored 20 tries in 44 appearances, given he failed to score in the first 6 his strike rate is exceptional.

2 good sides and it will be close for sure, just fancy we might edge it with forward dominance and with a decent bench too, pity Vieanu is missing, but having Toomua back is a bonus and whilst May has been on fire, we have some speed out wide to worry you.

COME ON YOU TIGERRRRrrrrsssss

Ulster can’t give the Hond away.. I think someone mentioned MCCoy earlier and I reckon he could still take Hond to the cleaners...
