Addison cleverest player on the pitch by a mile.
Speight good on the counter which led to the Gilroy try but Jarred will have his work cut out teaching him what tackling and defending means.
Burns very quick hands and pass; will do well.
Darren C majestic in defence; should be first name on the team sheet every week.
McCloskey keeps other teams honest and it normally takes two to stop him; we should be capitalising more on that.
Gilroy back to his dancing, twisting self.
Cooney just class.
(Not competent to talk about forwards; never really understood what went on up there!!!!!) Only joking. >happyparty >gimmefive

He's not 100% judging by the strapping on his ribs. Also in the warm up he knocks over kicks from half way for fun.

Ah yes, good hands, and good decision making ................... is exactly what Darren Cave did to put Addison through the gap with perfect timing, and Addison then to feed Conney. I agree Dearie, credit where it`s due, Addison and Cave are clever players.

Charless was a good player but I doubt he`s ever been accused of being a clever player. I`d add Cooney to the list of clever players, it`s good to see because for many years we`ve been the dumbest team in the league. I`m hoping Nordi will be another.

Speaking of good hands, Kane found himself in the 9 position at three breakdowns, not a bother to the lad, better than Shanners.

As an out half I really like Burns. Does the basics really well. A quick and accurate pass and his kicking for touch is superb. He make great distance from every angle. Another great find and I can see his partnership with Cooney becoming one of the success stories of the season.

Watched him twice and I’m completely underwhelmed by Henry.

You wouldn't want ROG to be taking it (albeit from his better side)

Woeful in defense. In fairness through, we rarely used him in attack. He is a hard running winger. He should be used in the inside channel with McCloskey has a decoy. He ran over Simon Hickey, poor guy had Marcell running over him as well.

I'll take two last kick of the game wins from the first two.. it could have been much worse the way that first half was going... I wonder if any of our coaching guru's noted what if anything changed or did Edinburgh just throw it away?

I thought we started to hit rucks harder with better support. It has been a problem for a couple of seasons where ball carriers get isolated. Hopefully it can be fixed on the training ground but every player must realize if they are in support they have to clear out the opposition. There is a reason why ferg gets in Ireland squads while Gilroy doesn't and it is not blue bias.

Right, let's address the elephant in the room. The defense. No linespeed. We are still trying to wrestle the ball from from the oppo and haemorrhage yards with every tackle. Edinburgh on the other hand, their linespeed put us under pressure. In with the chop and someone else comes in over the ball. Defending out wide was poor. I can't decide whether Henry can't tackle or he just doesn't. A few times he just watched players go past.

We should not be conceding 29 points to Edinburgh at home, even with lowered expectations.
