Guarantees some free to air games. No need for Premier Sports!
Are Premier going to show all of the four Irish teams' games? I can't see it, but I can see them selling the games they don't want and that's where BBCNI may get a look in.
Eir sport have said they are going to have a more Irish focused show, which suggests Premier may concentrate on Wales/Scotland.
Neill_M wrote:Some speculation on the twitter from a decent source, Simon Thomas the Welsh Rugby Journo that the new Premier Sports/Eir Sport tv deal will increase the tv pot from £17MN to £19.8MN, an extra £200k/team. So well behind the AP (£42MN) and T14 (£75MN).
Well worth it eh?
Most of that current £17M was from Sky, so it was really the sale of the Irish rights to Eir, which was killed the goose.

Does anyone confirm that Premier Sport are closely related to Freesports who often show big events a couple of hours later?
