No more BBC for Pro14

Post by thecrouch »

Rumours are that the BBC have lost out on Pro14 rights in the UK. Games will be shown on Premier Sports instead.

Premier Sports

Hands up if you actually subscribe to that crowd?

I saw that BBC Wales had lost it, but wondered about the rest. Will wait to see what shakes out. Ironically I think my magic box in Spain gets Premier Sports and if not I'll get onto my man to get it done.   The joys of Spanish piracy.

The Pro14 in very serious danger of losing their audience if they go lock stock and barrel for some hole in the hedge crowd.

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

I would. If it's HD then a tenner a month would be grand I suppose. I will cancel a direct debit to some charity I support that helps the poor in order to pay for it. BBC 2 NI isn't fit for purpose.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Logie must have brokered a great deal to the only broadcasting service on the planet he can access from his bunker at the far end of the Carrickfergus salt mine.
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"

We won't be on every week.

It's HD on sky, not on virgin.

I really don't think we can understate the importance of BBC NI in Ulster's commercial success.

A non-competitive team
in
a nonsensical league
on
a non-receivable TV channel.

Must be fighting sponsors off.

No doubt, although it's tricky to measure that precisely, but it's not going to die. Might actually help the attendance figures?

Yes they were shocking. If it's that level they will bankrupt by October.
