Championship scenario
Here's a scenario that might well happen.
We are 5 points down to England in the last game deep in our half on last play and we have the ball.
We need the lbp for the championship and a converted try for the slam.
Do we kick the ball off to secure the championship or run it and risk a penalty concession to lose the championship to go for the slam?
Mulled this over and I'm sure there has to be discussion on this if there is a possibility of these types of scenario arising.

No brainer. Beating the Lionels in their backyard is the main prize. feck the Slam/Triple Crown/Milennial cup and any other fripperies. They are mere distractions.Liz Fraser wrote:Here's a scenario that might well happen.

Dave disagrees.
I'm not sure.
I just couldn't stand the thought of losing the championship to them and the game.
For the record Mike Brown has no balls.

Never wrestle with a pig. You end up covered in muck and the pig loves it.

Actually he looks like half a set of plums.
Re: Championship scenario
While I think the scenario unlikely. It would be 'go for the try' for me.

Re: Championship scenario
No doubt the team might view the situation differently but a tin pot would be zero compensation for a defeat in our house. Even more so given that I'll be on the Costa Lionel on the 17th.BR wrote:While I think the scenario unlikely. It would be 'go for the try' for me.

Given that I don't agree with tin pots, bps or any of that aul sihte, the players can go and feck themselves.big mervyn wrote:No doubt the team might view the situation differently but a tin pot would be zero compensation for a defeat in our house. Re: Championship scenario
You say that it's unlikely but who would have envisaged the scenario a few years back when we won the championship over Wales and England which came down to the last minutes of the England France game.
What can will and I sincerely hope Schmidt will discuss these scenarios beforehand so players know exactly what to do in those situations.
Parra and Paul Marshall are two of several examples of players who have lost the plot in these scenarios that bonus points throw up.
The decisions should be discussed beforehand as you don't want to be making them on field in the heat of the moment.
