It's the D4 way. Take someone elses idea (player) and pretend they are Irish (Carbery).
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

They’re all about the show.

I wondered at the time if it was significant that it was one S Logan, formerly of this parish, who seemed to be dismissing them permanently, but with no confirmation (or denial) of that from Dublin.

Now, it seems that if IRFU can do without PJ and/or SO, no further comment will be made, or need to be made.

On the other hand, if IRFU deems it desirable to bring either or both back into the fold, it will simply be put down to the ramblings of that former Ulster CEO, wotsisname, that used to be here some time back ..... shoor, what would he know?

I have no doubt though that wotsisname (whether willingly or unwillingly people can decide for themselves), was sticking to the D4 script he was given at the time, but ultimately IRFU will deem that deniable if and when they need a quality replacement for the loop.
A perfect set up for corporate land - with Action Man the fall guy. While I don't care for Logan, there was a clear lack of direct comment from D4 all along (at least I didn't see any in all the media that was around at the time) which is just typical of letting someone else carry the can. I wonder if he was told 'your watch, so you're taking one for everyone'. The lunatics have moved on to hounding someone else, the sponsors can be seen to have done their bit by leaking their outrage to the media while secretly not caring at all and Ulster again smell of dung. All in a day's work for the Dublin PR machine. It would be just fantastic if the circumstances presented for Japan 2019 - PJ could easily be back on a contract for next season.

To me Carberry was a bench selection because he has the basics for both full back and out half .

And both Kearney and Sexton are injury prone .

But he never ,like ,Madigan before him had the game in either position be a starter .

There are several factors which in my book wouldn't rule Paddy out of RWC .

1 Ireland can't go into the RWC with one experienced out half especially if Sexton were to get injured in the group games .

2 RWC is being played in Japan - far far away from the #tag Irish Harpies .

3 Paddy has played in Japan and knows the conditions .

4 Having been in the Irish Camp before he has an existing awareness of Joe's methods and ploys .

the negatives are he is currently playing abroad and hasn't played for 12 months and is unlikely to be selected for Ireland before the World Cup

Nucifora is described as the "top man" in Irish rugby. i wonder whatever happened to the officers and committee of the IRFU, Mr Browne and all the others? Didn't they run the show?

I don't recall the IRFU ever telling the rugby public that Dave was the guru and master to whom all power was given.
You clearly didn't read the press release when he was appointed.

Obvious the penny has dropped that beyond Da Loop, Ireland simply do not have an out half.

Early shot to test the water for a return of the GP.
