You have to be careful with midget gems. The classic original ones are hard and shiny and the black ones are liquorice flavour. Too many soft blackcurrant imposters these days. Lions made the originals and I think you can only buy the praper ones loose now - which is maybe how it should be. Try the wee shap 'round the back of Gresham St - nat that wan!jackthelad wrote:Modern Midget Gems are putrid facsimiles of the real deal. I bought a bag recently and threw the f&ckin' things out the window of the car they were so awful. Texture of greasy polythene and tasted like feck all to do with confectionery.Tender wrote:Not at yer best there Merv.
Think I’ll buy some Midget Gems for next week’s game.

Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Got the wrong shap. They only had the blue, diamond shaped ones and they tasted nothing like the originals. As my aul lad always said “That’ll harden ye”

A reunion with Franco!
And he’ll get to see what Arno Botha is like.
Maybe we could chip in a pay the Hond’s air fare to join them?
On second thoughts, i’d be happy to just pay it myself.

Strange one that.
Kidney has never coached a jot in his life. Been a schoolteacher for the last 5 or six years, not getting a mention in any jobs over here (and there have been vacancies). Don't see him adding to any modern professional set up.
Les..... really, I know that you wanted to get out of town quickly, but.....

So Deccie and Les heading to Reading next season will be engaged in a 1 team race for promotion to the AP.

Re: Kiss gone with immediate effect
So Kiss, the defence coach to the Grand Slam winning coach of 2009, gets back in the saddle.
Nice one, Les.
Presumably he gets to keep his pay off from Ulster, lands on his feet in London and reunites with the two time Heineken cup winning coach.
Will he bring any Ulster players with him? Bowe or Trimble to start on the coaching ladder?
A certain outhalf and inside centre might go to LI if they were available?
As for Kidney, he had a post as Head of Sport at UCC in Cork so he hasn't been short of a crust since he got the boot in 2013.
Don't you just love the merry go round of professional sport?

Re: Kiss gone with immediate effect
That was 9 years ago. The game has evolved so much. No other team is using the same system it was found out by the Argies. Les is living in '09. The key to that defence was a set centre partnership with BOD as the lynchpin. Les had a merry go round at 13 when he was here. Selecting wingers instead of our best 13.Dublin4 wrote:So Kiss, the defence coach to the Grand Slam winning coach of 2009, gets back in the saddle.

Would you take him at Leinster?
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

No! But I wish him well.
