One was as you say and the other was a penalty goal on the back of 3 successive pens, a scrum infringement in their own 22 followed by 2 lineout penalties.
OK Liz but the concensus from the experts on the tele was that we were happier playing them at NH rugby and not the SH stuff that we struggled to contain for the first twenty minutes.
The fact is that Ulster are perfectly capable of losing to anyone playing any style.
It's not about what Wasps may or may not need but whether or not Ulster turn up on Sunday and perform.
It's in our hands. Each match always is.
Justin I don't know who the consemsus is you are referring but listening to this week's pod cast the boys seemed quite satisfied that we neutralised their off loading game by putting players between their passers and recipients.
La Rochelle also created situations that suited Bests game giving him more time to turn over at the breakdown.
They turned up playing the same way they always play regardless of conditions or oppositon.
Complete European nativity and at least you could say we had studied their play and planned to combat it.
Any side like Connacht who targets us up front with simple one out hard runners would get more reward against us than a side playing a looser game.
La Rochelle scored running directly at the heart of our defence and opened us up like a tin of beans no offloads or fancy stuff required.
Luckily the penny didn't drop.
Our main strength is dangerous broken field runners like CP and Stockdale.
They are most lethal when a game opens up and whilst I recognise your point that both styles can totally unravel us as we can be appalling at times, I would rather a side play an open game against us rather than a direct one.
We simply don't have the forwards to cope though it's possible Wasps don't have the players to fully capitalise on that right now and may think a wider game is their best shot.
