We are second if we get any sort of bp

That’s why other results may matter

Worst case scenario and assuming no Ulster BP of course. Anything else could leave Ulster in the hunt for a best RU if other results were to go our way.

Currently Leinster and Glasgow winning, not certain but think if it stays like that, all we need is Clermont to win at home to Ospreys, and any sort of BP will guarantee us a QF...

I think we need to deny wasps a BP win.

We don’t, they are 5 behind us on 12 points, if we get a losing or try bp we will be on 18 and ahead of them.

The issue is if 18 will be enough for a runners up place

Sarries can still get to 18 and looks likely that Munster and Scarlets groups will have runners up with more than 18 pts. Not sure how points diff looks though.

Ulster do have to avoid a 5-0 defeat in MP.

Good results in Leinster group, Exeter only got 16 - one group down from Ulster POV.

Two ways of looking at this. Positive for Ulster as one group already has runner up now with less points than us. So we only need one more to know a point will get us a qf. I would say the nest chance for that scenario would be Tigers at home vs Racing.

On the other hand it improves Wasps chances of making it.

So if it came down to it, which of the 2 potential requirements do you think Ulster are more capable of acheving?

- scoring a 4 try bp or denying wasps a 4 try bp.

Unless weather plays a factor i think the latter.

If Leicester can turn over R92 then whoever comes 2nd in our group is guaranteed to qualify.
