New rules mean you dont need to attempt a grupper kick after the penalty try is given.

Anyone know the new ruling on Piatau charging up the pitch to take a quick quinoa salad kick before the Turnips got back into position. Can you take a quick one after a penalty try.... Or shoukd I ask the quinnies?

There's a video doing the rounds of a junior game where a PT was awarded and the team that concedes it charged up the pitch, took a quick kick off and scored whilst the other team were still Maro Itojeing each other

Turns out the restart cannot happen until both teams are ready

As yesterdays ref is charged with teaching new referees in Ireland he will know the laws

Did I say you didn't . I would expect a Banbridge man to be au fait with rugby parlance.

I decided to watch my recording tonight, but fast forwarded to the end of the first half to hear Fez. I caught the Brennan end of our botched line out maul as time expired. Worth a re-watch if only to see Big Al give Rodders a bit of a bollocking!

I thought it was very interesting that with 90 seconds to go and the result looking relatively secure, the cams cut to the box.....JG did not look a happy bunny.
I should think not given that he'd presumably taken responsibility for the lineout and maul defence all week.

Gibbes was a great appointment for us.
I have seen progress in the scrum technically since his arrival but that's about all he could hang his hat on.
Watching his work being obliterated in the first half will therefore not have sat well with him.

I thought Aaron Dundon was coaching the scrum?

Aaron is indeed the scrum coach so maybe some supporters need to share the blame to the man responsible for the scrum... Gibbes is the Head Coach (maybe in name only) but it means (on paper at least) that he is more responsible for the wider team than again we credit.
