Holy good feck don't make me come round to you lot and put manners intillye.

There were only ever two crisp manufacturing companies, Tudor who's Pickled Onion tainted many an adolescents lumbering sessions and Tayto. As Tudor went to the wall (absorbed) a long time ago, that leaves only Tayto as the only remaining real crisps. Everything else calling itself a crisp is just pretentious, expensive lifestyle food for advertising fodder.
No drinking establishment in Ireland should be without Tayto Cheese'n'Onion. They are as essential as Guinness.
If you wanna be pretentious with crisps, try a cauliflower steak served with quinoa salad, sprinkled with Tayto Cheese'n'Onion.

I have a slightly different view:
There were 4 crisps in my book -
Tayto, Golden Wonder, Smiths and KP.

Tudor were just a Smith's brand which lasted a year or two iirc.

Then Walkers invaded with their plan for world domination*.

So they took over Smith's, and Tayto grabbed Golden Wonder from the discount isle. KP kept their head down and hoped by concentrating on their non-potato offerings, Walkers would walk on by.

*Other plans for world domination may exist. Your mileage may vary.

They wanted rid of LK. Moved him sideways to Ulster. They told Logie if he accepted LK he could put rwc 2023 on his CV. Logie blew his load and proclaimed LK as the top radar choice for DoR in the world (lisburn).
