Re: Ulster Rugby Round-Up podcast
A Bakebooker claims Angus Curtis has a wee brother coming next season as a scrum half, supposed to be really top class and SA would like him for themselves, sounds classic agent speak to get a free run through Queens with Ulster paying his fees to me, has his brother even made the A side bench yet ?

Before the crisp diversion goes away... any East Belfast folk out there remember a potato crisp factory on the Beersbridge Road End of Avoniel Rd or thereabouts? They used to have the monopoly at the Oval then, I assume, went bust. My parents knew the owners and I got a biscuit tin of crisps from time to time. Anybody remember the name? I've tried for years to remember but there's more going out than in these days. You're my last hope!

According to a certain Stephen Ferris the Tayto recipe has shown no signs of improvement over the past 3 years. He is calling for a radial overhaul at Tayto Castle and is even questioning the top man, Mr Tayto. He promised world domination of the crisp market but he hasn't even secured the top crisp in Ireland title.big mervyn wrote:Tayto S'n'V back in the day before they changed the recipe
They're crap now.
All those worldwide searches for the best potatoes never seem to look past Tandragee.

I thought the boss of Tayto was Mr Chips, if it's the one I'm thinking of he was a decent ould spud, known for crisp thinking and a sweet nature, though quite a lumpy-faced rugby ball-shaped head on him and more eyes than a jumping spider, though I heard he got flattened and quite badly cut up.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

The brother Graham is meant to be a pretty decent talent now, has been talked about as being better than Angus.Rooster wrote:A Bakebooker claims Angus Curtis has a wee brother coming next season as a scrum half, supposed to be really top class and SA would like him for themselves, sounds classic agent speak to get a free run through Queens with Ulster paying his fees to me, has his brother even made the A side bench yet ?

Re: Ulster Rugby Round-Up podcast
If either of the two lads play rugby for Ireland they would be the third successive generation to do so, their grandfather Bryan Curtis and father David Curtis both gained caps. David was in the centre that day in 1991 when Oz pipped Ireland 19-18 in the World Cup. See no issue with signing both on pedigree alone.therealspratt wrote:The brother Graham is meant to be a pretty decent talent now, has been talked about as being better than Angus.Rooster wrote:A Bakebooker claims Angus Curtis has a wee brother coming next season as a scrum half, supposed to be really top class and SA would like him for themselves, sounds classic agent speak to get a free run through Queens with Ulster paying his fees to me, has his brother even made the A side bench yet ?
