I enjoyed this but think people are guilty of overthinking what needs to happen with us.
Wanting home based coaches who have to know what it means to play for Ulster is complete Hogwash as.far as I'm concerned.
We just need someone who wants to install pride and create levels of excellence in the set up that players have to adhere to.
The best coaches do that no matter.

The acceptance of poor standards has been what's unravelled us.

Most recently Lam and Pivac came into average set ups and within a short time turned their sides into league winners with darn sight less resources at our disposal I may add.
Neither had connections to those clubs but had no difficulty in constantly sustaining high standards and levels of play.
Cotterell I can see doing similar things at Edinburgh, McCall had no connection with Saracens and so on.

I honestly thought that Gibbes was our guy but he didn't have the stomach for it.
Things are.low right now but we've seen with these other sides that bringing in the right guy can turn things round fairly quickly just as it fell apart.

Its not a miracle or 10 year plan we require but a guy that can stand up to scrutiny that he can instill a degree of intensity pride and skill into the set up.
That man sets the bar and creates the standards which resonates throughout the set up.

If we don't have the.people in charge who can identify this sort of person first thing on the to do list is we get in someone who can.
Then we need someone who can pick someone to pick someone.

It was reported on Thursday night that there was a fact finding process underway with a view to identifying best practice. The who and where were not identified, but I believe it was suggested they were looking for ideas near and far including from other sports. Logan may be doing that.
