Total kop out from the lads.
Speculating that Kiss & Jono tempered their immediate post Benetton comments is utter bullshyte. Then they contradicted that speculation, when saying it’s the same sort of answers they continually get when asking ‘Tough’ questions about performances. So not just immediately after a game then!
As a supporter I don’t expect platitudes from the coaches, but I do expect honesty. If the team’s mental state is such, that the coaches are trying to protect them, then there is something fundamentally wrong with the entire set up. We’re supposedly a team striving for World Domination and we won’t be able to dominate East Belfast, let alone The World if our well paid professional players are feeling so fragile that they can’t take criticism.
We’ve been poor all season, even when playing against some really poor teams and it’s way past time Kiss & Co were put on the spot. Yes they care, nobody doubts it and we know it’s their livelihood, but heh I work with lads who care about their jobs, because it pays their bills and they don’t know if they’d get another one if they were sacked, but they are shyte at their job and so at least one of them won’t see another Crimbo with us. Life is hard, toughen up.
I know Adam and the lads try to find the positives, but surely they can see the ship is sinking and the alarm needs sounded.

I will reiterate: I do not give a flying frig how a coach answers media questions, or how he comes over on TV. What is important is his performance as manifested on the pitch.

I have to confess to not knowing how these podcast are put together and whilst I understand that interviews etc take place on the allocated press day I hadn't realised that the guys do their talk live also at the ground presumably during the training session or just after..

maybe big brother is watching in the corner.

As baggy says elsewhere difficult questioning is met with your face not fitting and one being kept out of the loop..

I am with BR it is about what happens on the pitch but at the same time what I hear from Kiss is becoming hard to listen to and even more difficult to understand. Is he a dead man walking YET?
