Cooney & Pienaar

Post by Amiga500 »

Right, so. Controversial with a capital Stormont to it.

If John Cooney keeps going the way he's been playing so far - does that go a long way to justifying the IRFU in forcing our hand re. Ruan?

While its hard to compare the two back-to-back given the real go-forward problems we've had in the past few years, but at the minute, Cooney is putting a lovely tempo to our game.

Imagine if JC and Ruan could share the shirt
JC could learn from Ruan and provide a real alternative

Results are what matter, and how the success will be measured.
So if he performs and it contributes to us winning then yes.

I don't know if we will be saying that when Christian leaves in January. I'd rather have Pienaar than other NIQs. It was never about Cooney or Pienaar. Ulster's hand was forced because we didn't try very hard to source a backup nine.

Has John Cooney and Ruan Pienaar ever been seen in the same place at the same time?

What gives me a real chuckle is the fact Leinster got rid of Cooney and now have thon imposter of a scrum half Gibson Park in their squad.

Something which still hasn't been addressed.

Hello. We've played two games.

I'm sure there are occasions in the past 10 seasons when p has played 2 half decent games in a row.
