It does sound great except we do appear now to have no ambition to bother getting to a Euro quarter final or if we do being semi competitive in it.
Class player no doubt but a lesser player for the complete season would have been much better plan .
Other way of looking at it is we have a class 10 available for 9 of our league and the 3 SDC matches so stuff the away matches as punters don't bother with them anyway.

Box ticked
Lealiifano played six Super 14 games for the Brumbies in 2010 before being sidelined with a knee injury (rupture to his posterior cruciate).
While his last two seasons have been cut short by hamstring and knee injuries respectively

Shoor, didn't Munster sign a player on a short term contract and were then allowed to keep him.

I'm certain he'll want to stay on after the start of the super season, and Nucifu .....

Oh wait, I've just seen the flaw in the plan :duh:

This is as good as could have hoped for when the news broke that charges were to be placed.

Unknowns
Other playing options that could have been signed.
When the court case outcome will be and if cleared how quickly the two players can return.
Is there a further contingency plan.

Knowns
The Japanese season ends mid January. Some serious talent there.

Didn't expect us to bring in centre cover..... any word on when we will sign out half cover also? :duck:

This is the worst news I've ever heard. When I heard the name I thought, fantastic, but not for a few months FFFS.Super Rugby starts at the arseend of February, I assume he will need to be back at the start of February.

I knew the Brumbies would want him back but I thought he would be here for the season. This leaves us heading into the tail end of the season with no 10 worth a shyte.

The only thing that gives me a shred of hope is that this comes from the Bellylaugh, maybe the News Letter may have a different tale.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

It was a likely reason why he signed.

Happy enough. A lot of rugby to be played between now and feb plus some more important matters to be dealt with.

His first game back was June followed by a lesser league match, a hamstring injury and a place on the bench against the Hurricanes.. Looks likes getting some game time with us in the coming season will help with his rehabilitation after his life threatening illness.

This is a fair point. You often hear of premiership teams signing players at that point from Jap teams. I don't know any 10s off the top of my head. Although, I'd say the FIRFU will probably say no.

Doubt it baggy, but sure we get most of the home matches out of him and that will keep the Ulster are brill mob happy

Theres a guy Matt Giteau plays for Suntory Sungoliath can cover out half and centre. Another guy Berrick Barnes plays for Panasonic Wild Knights but he can only play out half.

Don't ask me how God they are though.
