Jono Gibbes - New Head Coach

Re: Jono Gibbes - New Head Coach
It's a sensible pre-emptive move. Better to sack Jonno now before it doesn't work out. I hear that McGlocks has been hired and sacked again in the same phone call.

If Gibbes goes it only serves to confirm the rot in UR is not being addressed any time soon.

Perhaps this is part of the review Bryn was talking about !ColinM wrote:If Gibbes goes it only serves to confirm the rot in UR is not being addressed any time soon.

It will probably be our first indication of whether this review is actually going to instigate any real change. One thing we know is that Joe will be wanting Jonno to stay in the IRFU system - maybe he and DN can do us a favour for a changeRooster wrote:Perhaps this is part of the review Bryn was talking about !ColinM wrote:If Gibbes goes it only serves to confirm the rot in UR is not being addressed any time soon.
Re: Jono Gibbes - New Head Coach
Three DoRs, four head coaches and two CEOs from now Ulster will make the playoffs.
Don't worry that is this season.

UR ... Hi is that you Willie.
WA ... Yes, I've been sitting over my phone for the last week and a half, I haven't slept.
UR ... Just to let you know there's a job opening up for DoR at Ulster.
WA ... Well lads, I've been waiting for years for this moment ... but I'm Ulster to the core, what do you need me to do.
UR ... Willie we all know yer a true Ulsterman ... is there any way you would consider ... well this may come as a shock ...
WA ... Go ahead - I'm yer man ...
UR ... OK Willie ... well it's like this - do you know anyone .. I mean ANYONE who would like to have a go at DoR ... we've tried just about everyone on the planet and we're just 100% out of any ideas ... then someone said Big Willie Anderson ... he's bound to know somebody.

I not sure we'd get any better - but it would be fun to see Big Willie rip though the stuffed shirts in the Branch like a doss of the squids at a laxative convention.Rooster wrote:There would be some heads ripped out of arsses if WA got the job

Wouldn’t it be funny if after the second/third review of structures in 3 years that Lord Lucan reappeared to take up his CEO seat again..
