I believe it was highlighted before, the so called HEAD COACH role was bullshit. it was used to get him from his contract as he could only leave Clermont to a head coach role ? REALLY

What I've never understood is why would anyone leave Clermont for Camp Spanners .......unless he has a wee promise further down the line.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

What? Like a free pass to Sadie's Sauna and Massage Parlour...

The eternal optimist in me has always thought Jono was brought in to replace the poison D4 plant. I'm still hoping FOLK does one around the anniversary of yer man's birth.

Promises may indeed have been made but unfortunately for us by D4 and not BT6...

Schmidt will be going nowhere until after the next rwc. If Jonno is good and we get another couple of seasons out of him then that would be a decent result.

I can't see Jonno going from "head coach" with no experience of leading the side outright. Ireland could acquire a host of different experienced and quality coaches. I wonder has Mark McCall any international coaching ambition.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

I agree. Jonno would have to transform Ulster over the next couple of years to be in with a shout as the Ireland head coach job would attract some very good and exoerienced candidates.

Still hope we just do away with the fictional DoR role and allow the head coach to get on with it

Don't think anyone would dare, knowing what Cpl Logan is capable of with his own bare hands trained in the battlefields

Agreed Dave, this could not / would not have happened when Les was in charge.

Logical - Ulster have no-one responsible for defence following Kiss’s departure and the IRFU will be paying Farrell anyway I would assume. I doubt there are any Ireland get togethers before the end of season post 6 nations (or not many anyway) so IRFU using the resources they have.

Gibbes is an inexperienced head coach so help like this will be welcome.
