If I was Rob Herring...

Post by Amiga500 »

I'd be looking to leave.

The gap between him and RB isn't much, in fact, in a game you wan to lift the pace of, he's probably better suited. Yet he gets a derisory few mins (if even) at the end of a big match to do something.

Rob will have a role filling the gap between Rory retiring and McBurney's emergence into the first team but I don't see him being our first choice hooker long term or making a dent in the Irish lineup.

Rory was rubbish tonight. Missing tackles and he couldn't carry a handbag.

1F made it very clear that Rory was defending in a place alien to him

Systemic failure

so why do you think Rory was defending alien space? not once but a couple of times.. was he coached to do that this evening or was he playing his own game plan..

Seriously Dave, I understand your frustrations but 190+ Ulster caps & 100 Ireland caps, Rory Best is in credit for the rest of his days, we didn't lose because of Rory, we lost because of an abject failure to replace Nick Williams and the inability of the academy to produce any ball carrying forwards.

I'm aware of all of that. He played rubbish by his high standards. I'm not blaming him for the defeat.

On the subject of Herring.....I agree with Johann and reckon John Andrew will be the long term successor to Rory, him or McBurney

From what I hear McBurney has been told to look across the water with Clarke junior coming through.

If I was Paddy Jackson, I'd be hoping that I haven't signed a new contract.
